Grammy award winning singer, Cher, tweeted an angry message about Governor Rick Snyder Tuesday, over the Flint water crisis.
It reads “Governor of Michigan is a murderer. He made decision to give people poison water and now must sign disaster bill. Children will never recover. #jailforrick.
She goes on to tweet to her nearly three million followers ” WTF is going on with power, mad, greed, driven, killer, incompetent, politicians? They are criminals. Governor Rick Snyder of Michigan #firingsquadworksforme.”
Cher’s post was re-tweeted more than 500 times and got more than 13,000 likes as of Wednesday morning.
Governor Snyder declared a state of emergency in Flint Tuesday, after high levels of lead were discovered when the city started using water from the Flint River in 2014, in a cost-cutting move.
Flint returned to Detroit’s water system in October 2015.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Environmental Protection Agency are investigating Flint’s water crisis.
